1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and the psychological practice of Camelia-Gabriela Ionescu ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of this website as well as the psychological services provided. By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these terms.
2. Appointments and Cancellations
Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and represent a reserved time exclusively for you.
- Duration: Standard individual sessions are 50 minutes long. Couples therapy sessions (EFT) are typically 60 to 75 minutes, as agreed upon.
- Punctuality: If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to accommodate other clients.
- Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged at the full session rate. Exceptions are made only for sudden illness or verifiable emergencies.
3. Fees and Payment
Transparency regarding fees is an important part of our professional relationship.
- Current session fees are discussed and agreed upon prior to our first appointment.
- Payment is due at the end of each session or in advance via bank transfer, depending on the agreed billing arrangement.
- Invoices are issued in accordance with Romanian financial regulations.
- We reserve the right to review and adjust fees periodically. Clients will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any fee changes.
4. The Nature of Psychological Services
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process that requires active effort on your part. While it often leads to significant benefits, such as improved relationships and resolution of specific problems, there are no guarantees of what you will experience. Therapy can involve discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, which may lead to temporary feelings of sadness, anxiety, or frustration.
By engaging in therapy, you acknowledge that progress depends on various factors, and you agree to participate openly and honestly in the process.
5. Emergency Situations
Our practice does not provide emergency or crisis intervention services outside of scheduled session times. We do not offer a 24-hour crisis line.
In the event of a mental health emergency, or if you feel you are at risk of harming yourself or others, please immediately:
- Call the national emergency number: 112
- Go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
- Contact a dedicated crisis helpline available in your area.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to articles, blog posts, worksheets, and design elements, are the intellectual property of Camelia-Gabriela Ionescu unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any materials without explicit written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use (such as downloading free resources provided on the Projects & Resources page).
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions and our professional relationship are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, including the ethical guidelines set forth by the Romanian College of Psychologists.
Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms or our services shall be resolved amicably through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bucharest, Romania, or the disciplinary committee of the Romanian College of Psychologists, as appropriate.
